Iran, Zagreb seek stronger scientific ties amid regional challenges

Iran's World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and the Islamic Center in Zagreb expressed readiness to enhance scientific cooperation during a meeting between Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari and Mufti Aziz Hasanovic in Croatia.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran's World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and the Islamic Center in Zagreb expressed readiness to enhance scientific cooperation during a meeting between Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari and Mufti Aziz Hasanovic in Croatia.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari noted that the issues in Palestine, Gaza, and Bosnia stem from global unilateralism, which prioritizes utilitarian interests.

He explained that global oppressors established Israel and occupied Palestinian lands to secure their strategic goals, including access to fossil fuels, oil, and gas in West Asia.

Despite international propaganda portraying Iran as a global threat, Shahriari emphasized that the Israeli regime is the primary issue facing the world.

The cleric highlighted that Iran has refrained from invading any country for over three centuries, noting that some of its territories have been separated due to pressures from global powers.

He described Palestine as the forefront of resistance against US-UK unilateralism in West Asia, stressing the importance of standing united against oppressive actions.

Shahriari also warned of the enemies' strategy to disintegrate Islamic nations, referencing Iraq and Syria as examples, and expressed concerns about similar plans targeting Lebanon and Yemen.

He added that these divisions foster disputes and pave the way for wars, benefiting arms manufacturers while destabilizing regions.

Mufti Aziz Hasanovic praised the historical ties between Croatia and Iran and expressed his readiness to cooperate with the Islamic Republic in scientific and cultural exchanges.
